Some exciting news to share:
I had the honor of singing harmonies for Melody Gardot's album, Currency of Man, which was nominated for a Grammy for Producer of the Year (Larry Klein). Melody and I have become not just colleagues, but dear friends. This past summer we were in Paris rehearsing for her tour. We've had a ball singing, writing and laughing together. We continue to Skype and share creative ideas and look forward to more trouble we can get into together.
I have two writing cuts that came out on Keb' Mo's, BluesAmericana album, which was nominated for a Grammy. I feel very blessed to have been a part of the writing of this beautiful record, which took place at his studio in Nashville. Kevin is also a colleague and dear friend. It's very important to me that I work with people who I share a friendship with. So much of the writing and singing process is vulnerable. It's almost inevitable that one would share a special bond with those they create with.
I was very proud to have share the stage with Keb' to perform a duet of our song, "For Better or Worse" at the Whole Foods Foundation Benefit Gala. Any opportunity to perform together is a huge honor.
A new project I just love, is for veteran songwriter and artist, Steve McCormick for his most recent release, Stars and Chandeliers. I had the pleasure of singing on this record and taking the photographs for the CD booklet. This is a beautifully artisan crafted record, from start to finish. From the handmade custom tube microphones and compressors Steve built, to his delicately crafted writing and production of each song. You will love this album, which can be found at CD Baby.
And last but not least, I will be releasing my EP in the next few months! I have a few new songs I want to share with you, so please keep an eye out for that.
